Drive Manager – Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 31, 2026
Drive Manager is a Chrome extension designed to help users view, organize, analyze, and manage their Google Drive files and storage. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, and stored when using Drive Manager.
1. Google Drive Access
Drive Manager requests access to the user's Google Drive account only after the user explicitly authorizes access through Google OAuth.
This access is used to provide features such as displaying Drive storage usage, listing files and folders, calculating and displaying file and folder information, searching and filtering files, detecting duplicate files, copying, moving, and trashing selected files, and providing other Drive organization features initiated by the user.
Drive Manager does not use Google Drive data for advertising, profiling, credit assessment, or purposes unrelated to the extension's functionality.
2. Google Account Information
Drive Manager may access basic Google account information, such as the user's email address, for account identification and PRO license management.
The account identifier may be sent to the Drive Manager backend for license verification. The backend is designed to store a hashed identifier rather than the user's raw email address for license records.
3. Payment Information
Optional PRO plans are processed through Razorpay. Drive Manager does not collect or store users' complete debit card, credit card, UPI credentials, bank account credentials, CVV, or payment passwords.
For payment verification, licensing, and payment history, information such as the Razorpay Payment ID, Order ID, selected plan, payment amount, payment status, and relevant activation or expiry timestamps may be processed and stored.
4. Local Storage
Drive Manager may store extension preferences and settings locally in the user's browser so that selected options and interface preferences can persist between sessions.
5. Backend Services
Drive Manager uses backend services for functions including PRO license activation, license verification, expiry information, and payment history. Information sent to these services is used only to provide and maintain these Drive Manager features.
6. Data Sharing and Sale
Drive Manager does not sell users' personal data. User information is not transferred to third parties for advertising, marketing, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes.
Information may be processed by service providers necessary to deliver requested functionality, such as Google for Google Drive authorization and services and Razorpay for payment processing.
7. Advertising
The FREE version of Drive Manager may display advertising. Drive Manager does not provide users' Google Drive files or Drive content to advertisers for advertising or profiling purposes. PRO plans may provide an ad-free experience.
8. Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect information processed by Drive Manager. Google authorization credentials are used for providing authorized Google Drive functionality and are not intentionally stored in the Drive Manager licensing database.
9. User Control and Data Deletion
Users can stop Drive Manager's access by removing the extension and/or revoking its Google account permissions.
Users may also contact the developer to request deletion of information maintained by the Drive Manager backend that is associated with their account, where applicable.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Drive Manager's functionality, legal requirements, or data practices change. Any updated version will be published on this Privacy Policy page with an updated effective date.
